Richard has almost 30 years of business and finance experience both locally and globally and has a set of experiences unmatched in the region. Richard is one of the most experienced financial advisory specialists in the GCC with a particular focus on M&A, value creation/maximization and corporate problem solving.

Richard has extensive experience in Capital Raising, M&A, Capital Markets, Family Office Advisory, Debt and Capital Structure Advisory, Financial Transformation and Business Integration and for the past 16 years has been based in Dubai.

Before joining Oryx, Richard has had a number of significant roles in the Middle East including, MD for Kroll, Head of M&A and Business Development for GEMS Education, Partner and Head of Deal Advisory for KPMG MESA, MD and Head of Portfolio for Dubai International Capital, Partner and Head of T&RS at Deloitte.

Richard has a unique background in the region including: Experience as a principal investor, G.P. and advisor, board level experience, including CFO and CEO experience - bringing significant day to day operational experience, deal origination and execution excellence, both as an advisor and as a principal, executing performance improvement and transformational projects, both as an advisor and principal and completing complex local restructurings, credibility with local sponsors, investors and lenders & key relationships with PE investors, family offices, SWFs, lenders and advisors.
